The Herren 2 “Wild Bees” closed out their 2016 season with a 58-52 home victory over Tauberbishofsheim. This win should leave the “Wild Bees” in 6th place standing in the league. As always the “Wild Bees” took their time to figure out the other team’s weakness and produced a 33-27 halftime lead. Both teams gave a good performance of team work on offense and defense, but the “Wild Bees” held strong and walked away with the win. “The team worked together during the whole game and each player responded when they were on the court.” Stated Coach Wicks. “It has been a long season with many ups and down, but in the end the players learned to depend and play with each other well”, which is the true meaning of “team”. I was glad to work with the players thru all the difficulties we went thru, but in the end, I give all the players praise for putting forth a good effort all season. All players received end of year awards with Moritz Schneider being awarded the “Most Improved Player”, again, I want to thank each player and the club for their support all season.
